Dr. Bahauddeen Nadwi addressing the General Assembly of the International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS). The IUMS is an independent global organization of Islamic scholars, currently led by Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi since 2022. Established in 2004, the Union operates from its headquarters in Qatar and Dublin and is dedicated to coordinating and strengthening Islamic jurisprudential discourse at the international level. The IUMS brings together nearly 95,000 scholars and 67 Islamic institutions worldwide. Dr. Nadwi holds a historic distinction as the first scholar from Kerala to be granted membership in the IUMS.
Dr. Bahauddeen Nadwi engaging with His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco following his scholarly address at the Duroos Hasaniyya in 2023. The Duroos Hasaniyya, also known as the Royal Ramadan Lectures, is a distinguished annual religious and intellectual forum hosted by the Moroccan monarch. Held during the holy month of Ramadan at the Royal Palace in Rabat, the gathering brings together leading Islamic scholars from Morocco and around the world to present lectures on a wide range of religious themes in the presence of the King and senior state officials. Dr. Nadwi has been honored as a royal guest of the Duroos Hasaniyya since 2018.

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar is widely regarded as the highest religious authority in Sunni Islam, exercising profound influence in Islamic theology and jurisprudence, particularly within the Ash‘ari and Maturidi traditions across the Muslim world. He serves as the head of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Al-Azhar Mosque, and Al-Azhar University, and oversees official religious affairs in coordination with the Grand Mufti of Egypt. Darul Huda Islamic University maintains a strong and longstanding academic partnership with Al-Azhar, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding. Under this collaboration, graduates of Darul Huda pursue postgraduate studies and advanced research at Al-Azhar, strengthening scholarly exchange and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
Dr. Nadwi with Dr. Sami Mohammed Al-Shareef, Secretary General of the League of Islamic Universities. The League of Islamic Universities is an independent, international, non-governmental educational organization founded in Fez, Kingdom of Morocco, in 1389 AH (1969 CE) following a resolution of its founding conference. Recognized internationally and possessing independent legal status, the League brings together universities and institutions of higher education and scientific research from across the world. Its headquarters was relocated to Cairo in 1995. Darul Huda Islamic University became a member of the League in 2009, marking a significant milestone in its global academic engagement.
Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi engaged in a cordial interaction with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah during his official visit to Brunei Darussalam. Darul Huda Islamic University maintains a strong academic collaboration with Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei. Notably, one of Dr. Nadwi’s distinguished disciples is currently serving as an Associate Professor at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali.Darul Huda Islamic University maintains a strong and longstanding academic partnership with Al-Azhar, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding. Under this collaboration, graduates of Darul Huda pursue postgraduate studies and advanced research at Al-Azhar, strengthening scholarly exchange and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi on a cordial interaction with Sheikh Dr.Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qasimi. Dr. Nadwi maintains a warm and longstanding relationship with the Sharjah leadership, grounded in their shared commitment to the advancement of education. At present, more than 500 of Dr. Nadwi’s disciples are actively engaged in diverse professional fields across the seven Emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
